The Royal Show 1-4 July, 2007
We have attended the Royal Show, but we have had to pack up and go home on
Monday night (2nd July). We have had heavy bursts of rain on and off, and by
Monday night the place looked like a big lake. Very few people were prepared to
brace the mud and come to our stand. It was such a pity having our stay cut short
as a few people were commenting on how nice it was to see something different at
the show and how impressed they were. We really wished for more. It is one soggy
summer in UK!
Now:  Stallion Zahmet
(Melekush-Zagadka) line Arab at a
dressage competition. He has performed
in Dressage class M, S Saint Georges
and intermediate N 1.
And Then: Stallion Absent performing
at the Olympics. He was seven times
national champion (Russia), champion
at the Rome Olympics in 1960, bronze
medalist at the Tokyo Olympics in 1964
and won golden medal for the Soviet
team in Mexico in 1968. (Grand Prix
Dressage)

Dec 2006   We have visited our friends and fellow Teke owners in Devon, Maria and
Nigel Baverstock. They have a beautiful long legged stallion Mualim (Gayaz-Aida)
line Posman, bred by
Shael Stud, Russia. He has got the character of a true
warhorse. Mualim has started his training in dressage. We wish Maria and Mualim all
the future success with their training! For the pictures from the visit
Dec 29-31, 2006   We have been visited by Maria and have done some training with
our stallion Dominik (took him out on the road for the first time in UK). It was very
overwhelming and enjoyable experience and we are very delighted how well
everything went. We are happy that we have taken him to the next level in his
training. Maria has written a "report" on this experience and her thoughts from the
visit. We would like to thank Maria for her kind efforts and a lot of support that she
has given us. To read the report by Maria from her visit to us

Feb 08, 2007   It has been snowing here today and the horses were enjoying the play
outside. I have taken some pictures, which you can see
here.
Feb 11, 2007   I have added a video of Dominik on a lunge line that was taken at
Akhalt Services stud farm when he was 4 years old. It is on
Our Horses page.
April 06, 2007   It is very hot here and the horses love it. They enjoy going out to
their paddock every morning and do some sunbathing. I've taken a camera with me
this morning and took a few shots. I've created a separate page with the pictures. To
see them go to the
Gallery or click here.
March 30, 2007   I have been to visit Maria and Mualim in Devon. I have thoroughly
enjoyed spending my time watching Mualim at work and going out for a ride and
being able to appreciate the finely trained and tuned Teke, learning a few things along
the way. To see the pictures from the visit and read more click

Devon County Show  17-19 May, 2007
We have thoroughly enjoyed being at Devon county and giving people the chance to
see and learn about the breed. We would like to thank the people at the Devon
County Show for their hospitality and for helping us through our first show. They've
done a wonderful job! Read about it
here.
11th August 2007  We have been doing a lot of schooling with our stallion
Dominik. We are still very early in our training but are very pleased with the
progress. We are hoping to increase the workload more once we got our new saddle
next week. See two new galleries of Dominik
Under Saddle and Free Jumping.
16th September 2007 Mualim came to stay with us to get used to living in a busy
yard. We had a lesson with a professional stallion handler and rode out with the two
stallions.
Capturing them on camera was not an easy job!
11 October 2007 We are filled with joy and happiness! Our first and long-awaited
foal has arrived in the morning! She is very beautiful and got the best from both
parents. Pictures
here.  Plus Oinam's picture gallery updated.
10th November 2007 I have added more pictures from Mualim's September visit
kindly provided by Ruth Staines
here.
21-25th November 2007 We have gone for a long weekend to Devon. We have
visited new Akhal Teke owner in UK Jill Thomas. The new arrivals are colt
Salimrashid and filly Guldjady. We've also watched Maria ride Mualim and Nigel ride
his new purebred Akhal Teke mare Mushmula. Dominik has had two lessons, one
with a show jumping instructor and one with Maria's dressage instructor. Well, we
had a few busy days!!!
11th December 2007 Update on Aya at two months old. Her dam Oinam is coming
back to work, so watch out for updates and pictures!
6 January 2008 We have now moved, although not very far. We are living on the
same farm where horses are kept. The move has gone well and we are enjoying the
new place.

11 February 2008 We have been busy working on our contribution to the
well-being of the breed. We are happy to present Akhal Teke UK Ltd. More
information on
www.akhaltekeuk.com  And the work continues of course, as this is
only the beginning.
27 April 2008 Dominik and I completed the
Vale of Aylesbury sponsored ride. The 7-mile
course was set up with 50 cross-country
obstacles (including water) which Dominik
tackled calmly and carefully, learning to pick
up his legs better and measure his stride more
efficiently with every jump. Only once did he
hesitate before a jump, causing him and me
to part company briefly but we soon
recovered and were back on track to
complete the course with flying colours. This
is all the more impressive considering this
was Dominik’s first public ride and first
attempt at cross-country.
3 March 2008 I've finally managed to get a good picture of Dominik, check it out on
his page. He's been working hard getting in good shape and building muscle.
4 January 2009 New video of Dominik and Ayazgul. Enjoy!
13 April 2009 New pictures of Dominik, who's been maturing and working in the
correct form to build the right muscles, and
Ayazgul who's just been doing growing,
growing and more growing.
22 May 2009 First foal of the year is born. Congratulations to Humisha and her
owner on the bright bay colt
Yggdrysil. We wish his owner all the best with him and
many happy years together.
14 June 2009 Oinam has had a colt. His name is Azar and he's the second foal bred
by us. He is full sibling to our
Ayazgul. Congratulations to his proud new owner
Angela Baxter and wishing many happy years together.
4 June 2009 Congratulations to Firyuza and her owner on the buckskin colt Yoldash
We wish his owner all the best with him and many happy years together.
18 July 2009 We've attended the first Akhal Teke show at Malvern Show ground.
Our stallion Dominik has come 1st in Akhal Tekes over 4 years in hand class and
2nd in purebred ridden. Thanks to
Team Teke for putting the show together!
July 2009 Congratulations to Yoldash and his owners on tackling BEF Futurity
evaluation and scoring 8.6 Premium Grade and coming 4th overall in endurance
section across the country! We are looking forward to more great news from this
beautiful little boy!
February 2010 We have made the difficult decision to sell our mare Oinam and
concentrate more on riding and competing Dominik and starting young Aya under
saddle. We wish Nathalie Perquis of Alaman Stud, France, all the best with Oinam
and many beautiful foals. We shall be missing her an awful lot.
February 2010 We have moved and are now based at Stowe, Buckingham. We are
enjoying very much the drier paddocks and the beautiful riding at our doorstep!
